Japanese electronics and chip materials maker Resonac Holdings says its new generation of wafers will help to extend the range of electric vehicles by up to 10%, Nikkei Asia reported.
Resonac says it plans to boost production by up to five times its current output by 2026 of the material used in power semiconductors for EVs, the report added, with its Saitama plant poised to see tens of billions of yen invested in it.
