Chinese tech giant Alibaba Group is gearing up for a comeback after a slide in its fortunes in the wake of stricter government controls over internet firms and stiff competition from rivals, Nikkei Asia reported.

Leading the charge will be Trudy Dai, a founding member of the company, who has been tasked with revitalizing Alibaba’s business and organization, the report added.
