Huawei establishes firm to make medical devices


(ATF) – Communications giant Huawei has created a separate company dedicated to making devices including medical aids.

Sky survey data showed that Glory Terminal was established on April 1 with a registered capital of 300 million yuan ($42.86m). 

Its business scope includes a commissioning agency, import and export of goods or technologies, development, production and sales of medical devices, communication and electronic products, computers, satellite television receiving antennas, high-frequency beacons and digital satellite TV receivers, medical devices among other products.

The company is wholly owned by Huawei Investment Holding.

A number of companies worldwide have either established medical device manufacturing divisions or diverted their production capacity to making emergency equipment available during the coronavirus pandemic.
