Reliance Jio Bids Big in India’s First 5G Auction – Nikkei

Reliance Jio Infocomm was the big winner in India’s first 5G auction this week, Nikkei Asia reported.

Analysts estimate that Jio, owned by India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani, spent $10.6 billion buying up airwaves by the end of Wednesday, outspending key rivals Airtel ($5.82 billion) and Vodafone ($2.32 billion), the report said. Full story: Nikkei Asia.
