Tencent announces its first industrial Internet launch

(ATF) Tencent Cloud has launched its first large-scale platform aimed at industrial clients in Chongqing Liangjiang New District.

The first phase of the project has been put into use, providing digital upgrade services for more than 100 well-known companies such as Chang’an Automobile, Geely Automobile, Yonghu and Wanda.

Tencent expects 1,000 enterprises to be on the cloud platform that will be built by the end of 2024. The platform is a joint venture among Tencent Cloud, Chongqing Liangjiang New District and Beiming Digital Technology.

More than 100 industrial innovation applications to promote the high-quality development of the digital economy in Chongqing are expected to launch on the platform.

At the opening, more than 10 local companies signed up, and at the same time launched an industrial app innovation competition.

Tang Daosheng, senior executive vice president of Tencent and president of the cloud and smart industry business group, said: “Tencent will continue to take root in Chongqing, take root in the physical industry, and contribute to the construction of the ‘smart city’ and use the cloud to help the regional economy.”
