CEO Brett Cairns Resigns at Australia’s Magellan: The Age

The group, which has $82.9 billion under management, said chief financial officer Kirsten Morton would become interim CEO

Australian investment powerhouse Magellan’s chief executive Brett Cairns has abruptly resigned “for personal reasons” and will leave the company immediately, The Age reported. Cairns became Magellan’s chief executive in 2019.

The board at Magellan – which has A$116.4 billion ($82.9 billion) under management – did not provide further details. Kirsten Morton, chief financial officer, will become the group’s interim CEO.
