Chinese scientists are wondering about the fate of Zhang Tongjie, China’s best-known alien life researcher, whose team announced “possible technological traces and extraterrestrial civilisations” on June 15, New Scientist reported.
The find – after Zhang was granted more than 17 hours on a sophisticated radio telescope in Guizhou province – was announced in the official Ministry of Science and Technology newspaper, only to be deleted several hours later, the science magazine said.
