A range of companies, including Rolls Royce, is looking to tap robust demand for urban mobility in Japan by rolling out electric aircraft, Nikkei Asia reported.
Rolls Royce is tying up with the aerospace industry to build aircraft and vehicles that are powered by its electric propulsion systems for vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL), the report said, adding that the company has set 2025 for manufacturers to begin installing the system.
