The US is investigating whether Yangtze Memory Technologies Co, a Chinese semiconductor maker, has supplied Huawei with chips in defiance of its export controls, the Financial Times reported.
Canadian consultancy TechInsights, which analyses components inside consumer electronics, sent a report to the US Commerce Department alleging the violations, the paper said.
