World’s Shift to 100% Clean Energy Paid in 6 Years: Stanford

The cost of a worldwide switch to 100% renewable energy would be paid off in six years, says a study by Stanford University,  My Modern Met reported.

Clean energy would reduce the average cost per energy unit by 12%, said the report, meaning a 63% lower cost for energy annually overall. Energy usage would also immediately drop by 56%, it added, because combustion-based energy systems require significantly more energy to operate.
