Japan, US Speed Up Advanced Chips Venture – Nikkei

Japan and the US plan to make advanced 2-nanometre semiconductors as early as the 2024-2025 financial year in a strategic joint venture, Nikkei Asia reported.

The collaboration has not decided yet on a business model, , the magazine said, but tech companies from the two countries might set up a new company for the purpose, or else Japanese chipmakers would build a fabrication centre in the US.
