PNG to Restrict Alluvial Gold Mining – Post-Courier

Only Papua New Guinea citizens will be allowed to conduct alluvial gold mining in the country under planned legislation, the Post-Courier reported on Friday.

Johnson Tuke, mining minister, told parliament that all alluvial produced gold in the country will go through a refining process and be exported.
