Temasek Pledges $5bn for Green Funding Arm – Straits Times

 

Singapore sovereign wealth fund Temasek Holdings has pledged $5 billion for a green investment firm that will scale up global efforts to slash emissions and fight climate change, The Straits Times reported.

GenZero, which will be wholly owned by Temasek, aims to deploy capital in ventures that will help achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and restrict global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, the report added.
