Top Japanese Cities See Men Leave, While Women Move In – Nikkei

Capital Tokyo can boast of a net inflow of residents, but more men moved out than moved in last year for the first time in 25 years

Men are leaving big cities in Japan as telecommuting gains ground, while more women are moving in, Nikkei reported, citing Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications data.

Capital Tokyo can boast of a net inflow of residents, but more men moved out than moved in last year for the first time in 25 years, the data showed. This happened while more women came to live in the city.
