Spanish energy and building giant Acciona plans to spend $26 billion on renewable energy projects in Australia over the next five years, the company’s chairman José Manuel Entrecanales said, according to a report in the Sydney Morning Herald.
The company is currently building Australia’s biggest wind farm near Warwick in Queensland and it has welcomed the new Albanese government’s plans to upgrade the national power grid, saying that will help boost outlays in a country where economic returns are significant and the legal system strong, the report said, adding that many more clean energy projects are already on the drawing board.
